"Brenzone is a collection of smaller places, some of which are well worth a visit"

Castelleto in Brenzone area is a great little town

Lake Garda - Brenzone

This is an area encompassing some smaller villages and towns between Malcesine and Torri del Benaco. This area may not be very large or have such extensive areas of impressive buildings, but the lovely towns and villages still have a lot to offer. The nice thing about here is it is not so touristy and therefore quieter and easier to get around. Indeed, holidays in Lake Garda are all about peaceful relaxation.

There are a few small beaches in this area

There are several places to stop and enjoy small shingle beaches by the lakeside road and parking is usually easier to find than in some of the larger towns. You also get a nice view from here across to the west side. You will often see quite a few people sailing and on motorboats by this area.

Nice view across the lake

If you want loads of designer shops or rows of lakeside hotels then this is probably not the best town for you. If however you enjoy the more untouched and uncommercialised little towns, then this area will be right up your street. There are also some nice places up in the hills around here.

A charming little port!

We especially enjoyed Castelleto and found it to be a full of character with a lovely little port area. There was a good choice of places to eat here and everyone was very friendly and nice.

"Hi. Just a quick word of thanks for the site, which was a marvellous resource in planning my trip to Malcesine. The ferry timetables were useful for planning trips around the Lake (I went to Riva and Limone) and the breadth of information available is fantastic. Thank you."
