Do I need to book a Lake Garda campsite in July?

by Ashley

My boyfriend and I are travelling to Lake Garda the first week in July and we were just wondering whether or not it would be recommended to book a campsite?

We have 10 days travelling in Europe in our motorhome and we were planning on just taking each day as it came so that if we really liked a place we could stay longer. However we have been reading about how busy Lake Garda gets in the summer months and don't know whether that would affect our stay? We are planning to be in Lake Garda from July 6th

Many thanks

Ashley

Hi Ashley,

Yes I would definitely recommend booking a campsite for July. Lake Garda is very popular and people book early to make sure they get a place. I would say you could be taking a big risk by not booking. For peace of mind I would do it well before you go!

If you are not sure where to start looking, visit our camping page and click on the links, or fill out the search box:

We camped at Lake Garda last summer. It was brilliant!!

Enjoy your trip,

Perfect! Thanks for the information!

Are there any particular campsites you would recommend?

Many thanks

We looked at Eden near Salo last year and thought it looked wonderful. The location is stunning and if you don't mind hills, the terracing means great views and a greater sense of space.

Hope that helps,
