Q. I am planning a holiday 10 days to Lake Garda from Ireland the end of June and cannot make up my mind where to stay thinking of Riva or Garda. We like to walk and do some hill walking as well as a few lazy days on the beach. We like a good selection of restaurants and pubs as well. Where would you recommend. How far is Garda or Riva from Verona airport. Is there a path that we could walk from town to town?
A. Hi, both Riva and Garda are great towns. Hwoever Garda is much closer to get to from Verona and in my opinion is overall the nicer town. It also has better beaches and is smaller with as less commercial fringe. There are also loads of places to eat by the lake in Garda, which is a great way to spend an evening. Hope this helps.
