Verona Opera

The Verona area is a superbly well preserved 2000 year old Roman amphitheatre which hosts the famous Verona opera. The summer opera season here runs from July to September and provide a spectacle for up to 16,000 people in the original arena. If you rent a cheaper seat on the terrace, rather than the more expensive cushioned stalls, make sure that you bring something soft to sit on! This world famous venue gets very busy so if you want to go there it would definitely be a good idea to book ahead. Surely one of the most impressive Lake Garda entertainment ideas.

Venice Carnival and Festivals

The Venice Carnival takes place over 10 to 12 days, finishing on the Tuesday before Ash wednesday every year. The carnival includes many events such as the famous Venice balls, street performers, fashion shows, processions, concerts and a whole lot more! Nearly half a million people come to the city at this time so if you don't like it too packed then it's probably best avoided. Oh and by the way St. Marks square can get pretty packed with pigeons too! The Venice Film Festival is also held every year during the last week in August.
