Take the ferry to some great Lake Garda towns

We are a mature couple and we enjoy relaxing holidays. Lake Garda is our favourite destination.

We have been twice and are going for a third visit on June 11th.

First time we stayed in Riva at the Grand hotel Liberty. This hotel was excellent. We took coach trips to Venice, Verona and some of the towns on the lake.

However the part we enjoyed most was to take a ferry to a town on the lake, have lunch and a drink and a wander around. The ferry trips are a great way to spend some time on the lake, especially that lovely cooling breeze.

Our second holiday was to Sirmione and it was lovely there. Again our favourite was the Boat trips to the different towns on the lake.

On June 10th we are going to Desenzano. Our first day trip will be a boat trip to Garda ,and on the following days we will take a trip to Bardolino, Riva and Sirmione.

We are looking forward to our holiday, and will post again wheh we get back.

I have just returned from a wonderful week staying in Garda. We went on the boats 4 days out of six to visit Bardolino (twice), Lazise and Sirmione. All are different and very beautiful in their own way.

On first glance the timetable may look a little confusing but it really is simple to follow once you get used to it! It is such a relaxing, leisurely way to travel between the resorts, I look forward to returning next year and sailing again to some of the other resorts.

Each town is so unique. And getting there by boat, having a 2 hour lunch and strolling along the lungolago is the perfect way to spend a Lake Garda day, every day. Don't forget to add Salo and Maderno to your list.
